Our mission is to share the values and tradition of Kuchipudi dance, to support a comprehensive practice, to instill the foundational principles of wholesome dance technique, and propagate Kuchipudi repetoire based on the foundations laid down by Kuchipudi masters and gurus such as Maestro Vempati Chinnasatyam. We teach standard and traditionally-inspired repetoire and offer complete support for anyone who would like to immerse themselves into the study of the most refined, enjoyable and profound aspects of Kuchipudi dance!

“Kritya” in sanskrit means GRATITUDE. We believe in moving and dancing with gratitude as it aligns and connects the dancer with the elements and energies around them, supports the dancer's resilience and appreciation for the gift and privilege of movement, and creates a more sensitive artist who is receptive to the deeper, more profound experiences of artistic expression.

Kritya was awarded the NYSCA Grant award for organisational support for the year, 2022.
